• Rob: Bit of a tradition, starting with a short game. Easy on the software, but really rather demanding on the MC. Jolly well set up, I say.

• gil: [Hugo Rune] You don't have to close "Read Any..." to start a new game. There's only 13 at the moment. Besides, I'm having a tendency to use "Read Any..." as a source of mutual reading matter suggestions, a number (notably Dan Simmons) of which I've certainly followed up, and I think the "game", though rather slow, is good value compared to some, especially since such discussions were tending to break out in "Speak after...", to the disruption of all. Besides, if you complain to Dan, he'll probably open the floodgate a further crack to allow another game.

• An MC Historian: I didn't realise Mr Wildpants was so old! This venerable game started in 1900, pre-dating the internet. Congratulations on this interesting historical document!
